The work Schmelzen builds on the series Anthropogene Substratumwandlung, linking personal experience with questions of pleasure, devotion, and socially conditioned role models. The installation engages with Christian-influenced notions of passivity and the objectification of the female body, while inviting these roles to be reclaimed—as an act of allowance, sensuality, and self-determined pleasure.
